Educational Assessments

Discovering your child’s strengths and areas of improvement is the first step towards targeted support. Minds in Motion specializes in educational assessments for Grades 1-6, evaluating competence levels in mathematics, reading, and spelling. Conducted using internationally recognized, standardized tests, these assessments provide invaluable insights. The comprehensive pack includes 10 standardized assessments, taking approximately 2 hours. Costing R750, this covers two meetings, assessment sessions, and a detailed feedback report. If you reside beyond a 10km radius, an additional R100 is charged.

In-Home Convenience:
Assessments are conducted in the comfort of your home.

Remedial Expertise:
A remedial education specialist meets with parents before the assessment and provides a written report with feedback and recommendations afterwards.

Transparent Information:
Parents are encouraged to inquire about the specific standardized assessments and seek additional information.

Tutoring Services

Minds in Motion offers tutoring services either online or in the comfort of your home. Priced at R200 per hour for in person and R150 per hour for online, this service covers all subjects for Grade 0-7 in both Afrikaans and English. For clients residing beyond a 10km radius, a nominal R50 is charged for travel expenses.

Tailored Support:
Tutoring can be requested after an educational assessment or as an independent service.

Webinars for Coaches

In collaboration with SwimCoach South Africa, Minds in Motion offers webinars on dealing with children with special and additional needs in the swimming pool. Enquiries regarding webinar schedules and pricing can be directed to Minds in Motion or SwimCoach South Africa.

Can assessments be done multiple times?

Benefit: Yes, assessments can be conducted within a minimum time frame of 6 months. While it's recommended to assess at least once a year to monitor progress, the flexibility of multiple assessments allows us to adapt and address evolving challenges as your child grows.
